“The value expectation for music in our current culture is really negative, and I’d like to help shift people’s perspectives on how to support the arts, and why it’s important.”
Today we’d like to introduce you to Ingrid Gerdes.
Long ago and far away in a mythical obtuse land known only as ‘the 70s’, I favored a number of female singers who possessed what Janis had lit the world afire from: soul, blues, rock, a passionate form of novo-madrigal, and pure heart.
Originally from Springfield, Mo., “the Ozarks area of Missouri,” Ingrid Gerdes is a neo-soul performer out of Boston, but she considers herself a Southern singer. Her latest album is titled Shed.
